The Hamlet SARS-CoV-2 Support and Relief Fund for Artists attempts to support artists who are directly confronted with the effects of the restrictions imposed in reaction to the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak and their consequences.

The proceeds of the benefit auctions go towards the Hamlet SARS-CoV-2 Support and Relief Fund for Artists.

I
All consignments remain with the artists (or in their current location) until it is safe for them to be delivered to the winning bidder. Hamlet is responsible for coordinating deliveries for sold work.

II
Artists may retain up to 50% of the hammer price. This information will be made public with each auction item.

III
5% of the hammer price will be put aside and is used by Hamlet to finance overhead and costs relating to the benefit auctions.

IV
A voluntary buyer’s premium can be added to the hammer price as donation by the winning bidder upon checkout to support Hamlet’s program.

V
Any costs resulting from transport (incl. customs) of sold work are at the expense of the winning bidder. The party handling the process of delivery receives a flat fee of CHF 50.- for their efforts. This fee is automatically added to the hammer price as buyer’s premium.

VI
Once placed bids cannot be withdrawn. Every bid is binding. In case of winning an auction the winning bidder must pay the resulting amount including all fees and surcharges to Hamlet within 10 days of the respective auction’s end. Hamlet will contact the winning bidder after completion of an auction.

VII
If a bid placed within one minute of the end of an auction, the auction is extended by five minutes. (Anti-Sniping)

VIII
Any work reaching the reserve price (lowest accepted price) is sold. Does a consignment not reach the reserve price, it is returned to the seller.

IX
Bidders must register and log on to place bids and acquire items sold through this website. Their contact information is saved by Hamlet and their email addresses are added to Hamlet’s newsletter list, offering regular updates regarding the auction program and Hamlet’s activities.
